Our core skills and competencies include financial, economic, and statistical analysis, financial accounting, cost accounting, fraud detection and quantification, fact finding and discovery, complex data extraction, financial modeling and presentation, damages analysis, and expert witness testimony.
Our professional team includes Certified Public Accountants (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE), Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (CIRA), AICPA-accredited business valuation professionals (ABV), certified in financial forensics (CFF), Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) and NACVA designated certified valuation analysts (CVA).
We are seeking a full-time Associate in our Detroit, MI office.
As an Associate, you will work on a vast array of engagements early in your career. Associates work in teams and are given direct exposure to clients within many different industries. There is opportunity for advancement for associates with demonstrated capability and a strong desire to learn and grow the practice.
Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns and financial data
• Preparation of financial models
• Preparation of schedules, analyses and reconciliations
• Prepare analyses of financial information
• Assist with forensic accounting and investigative projects
• Other duties and special projects as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance, Master's preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate preferred
• 0 - 3 years' experience in accounting or corporate finance
• Team player, with an ability to excel in a fast-paced working environment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize demanding projects
• Ability to extract helpful information from sets of unorganized or incomplete data
• Use problem solving skills to provide alternative explanations to intricate issues
• Experience in QuickBooks and EXCEL
• Proficient use & analysis of computer models and spreadsheets
• Strong accounting skills
• Proficient with PC systems and related software, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Has a strong aptitude for qualitative and quantitative analysis
