We are a fast-growing 8(a) certified, California Small Business and a technology consulting firm specializing in program management, digital transformation, GIS, Machine Learning/ Artificial Intelligence (AI/ML), cloud solutions, data analytics, cybersecurity, and mission-critical IT services for both public and private sectors clients. We are seeking a dynamic and people focused and seasoned Esri ArcGIS consultant who would join our team on a long term timeline for one of the California state agencies.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned Esri ArcGIS consultant with a proven track record of having responsibility for hands on utilization of ArcGIS for various tasks required for regular maintenance and reports generation. The ideal candidate will have 10 plus years of project management and expert level and hands on understanding of ArcGIS.
In the selection process, a strong emphasis will be placed on candidate's strong communication skills (verbal and written), ability to work with cross functional teams ((internal and external to the project), individually own key pieces of the complex schedule, keep project schedule up to date, and produce P6 reports as needed for executive consumption.

Minimum Qualifications
a) At least three years of combined experience using ArcGIS in a professional setting to include the following tasks:
a. Account administration such as managing members, configuring settings, monitoring usage, managing licenses, installing and maintaining GIS Systems in desktop environments.
b. Applying spatial database principles to create and maintain spatial data in various formats (e.g. points, polygons, tabular data, rasters) using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
c. Applying general mapping principles, performing demographics analysis, spatial analysis, remote sensing, and cartography using ArcGIS Online.
d. Building and maintaining ArcGIS Online -based interactive content, including ArcGIS Online
e. Experience Builder applications, Web Maps, and StoryMaps.
f. Creating maps using best cartography practices .
b) At least three years of experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
c) Experience training colleagues or members of the public to use GIS products or review GIS data.
e) Experience presenting the outcomes of analyses verbally and in writing.
f) Experience communicating complex, technical information in a clear and simple way to non - technical audiences .
g) Knowledge of the principles and best practices for creating accessible work products compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as evidenced by submission of a training certificate from the past three years and providing a sampling of an ADA Compliant static map.
Desirable Qualifications
a) Five or more years of experience working with a government entity to produce or maintain maps using spatial data and mapping software.
a) Two or more years of higher education and/or previous work experience related to California state natural resource policies and programs .
b) Two or more years of work experience related to California State grant programs.
c) Experience working with forest, wildfire, climate, water, habitat, and/or demographics data
d) Experience conceptualizing and developing data visualizations, independently or with a graphic designer, to produce communications products.
e) Five or more years of experience creating ADA -compliant static maps and ADA-compliant interactive content .
f) Experience working independently within core areas of expertise and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
g) Other types of GIS -related certifications (e.g. GISP, Esri Technical Certifications)
