Duties
Some of the key responsibilities for the experienced water resources engineer or scientist position are listed below. It is a requirement to have experience in each category, but to be a motivated individual willing to expand your competences under the direction of a supervisor.
- Performing water resources design and analyses
- Developing hydrologic and hydraulic models from a range of open source and proprietary software
- Conceptualizing and implementing green and gray stormwater infrastructure solutions for the built environment
- Developing water quantity and water quality transport models
- Floodplain mapping
- Urban stormwater water quality and BMP performance monitoring
- Field investigations
- Construction oversight and administration
- Overseeing the development of construction documents
- Climate change adaptation and resiliency planning
- Assist in managing project scope, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful, on-time, and cost-effective delivery of high-quality solutions
- Prepare and secure regulatory reports and permits
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, natural resources science, or related water resources discipline. (required)
- Professional registration (e.g., PE, PG, CFM, PWS, CPESC, CPSWG). (preferred)
- At least 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)
- Experience with modeling and design software tools such as ICPR, EPA-SWMM, HEC-RAS, Autodesk products, GIS (ESRI products, QGIS). (preferred)
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
