Summary:
The Donor Engagement and Marketing Coordinator supports the Office of Stewardship and Development and the Catholic Foundation of Utah by strengthening relationships with donors and advancing a culture of stewardship.
The primary focus of this role is donor engagement, including stewardship activities, donor database management, analytics, and the timely processing of donor acknowledgements and correspondence for the Stewardship Office and the Diocesan Development Drive.
Working closely with the Executive Director, the Coordinator also contributes to the marketing and communications efforts by developing content and supporting outreach initiatives that promote mission, impact, and donor engagement. The position further assists with the planning and execution of donor cultivation events and initiatives designed to deepen donor relationships.
This position is approximately 60% donor engagement and 40% marketing and communications.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as a member of the Diocesan Pastoral Center Staff, responsive to expectations as delineated by the policy manuals.
· Support the execution of the annual Diocesan Development Drive through collaboration with the Executive Director.
· Generate /disseminate donor appeals, acknowledgements, and communications for the Diocesan Development Drive (DDD).
· Provide data analytics reporting to the Executive Director as needed throughout the DDD cycle.
· Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop marketing strategies for print, digital (website/social media), and video content, to promote the DDD and Catholic Foundation of Utah's marketing and fundraising initiatives.
· Assist with the team planning and execution of donor events, including the annual Bishop’s Leadership Society Dinner, other Diocesan events and parish presentations.
Required Education and Skills:
· A practicing Catholic with an understanding of Catholic Church ethics, traditions, procedures, and organizational structure.
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in development or marketing experience, preferably within a non-profit organization.
· Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, or related discipline.
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail.
· Professional and proficient with donor and constituent engagement via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
· Proven experience in content development, marketing campaigns, and communications strategy.
· Working knowledge of digital marketing tools and social media platforms.
· Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
· Self-starter, detail-oriented, team player.
· Fluency in Spanish a plus.
· Willingness to abide by the Code of Conduct (Appendix A of the Pastoral Directive).
