PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leader in the aerospace industry to identify a Senior Software Engineer who will play a pivotal role in enabling teams across the organization to successfully adopt the Avionics Common Development Environment. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in DevSecOps, Cert DevOps, and avionics software development, who thrives in complex, highly regulated environments.
Your work will directly support digital transformation efforts that improve efficiency, compliance, and innovation across critical avionics programs.
As a Software Engineer, you will act as both a technical expert and an adoption leader, responsible for:
Designing, creating, and executing adoption strategies for the Avionics Common Development Environment
Embedding with engineering teams to provide hands-on, first-class adoption support
Developing and managing adoption roadmaps and execution plans
Setting up and owning sandbox environments for technology incubation and development
Supporting rapid onboarding of Cert DevOps technologies across teams
Mentoring, training, and onboarding engineers and adopters
Managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Communicating effectively with engineering peers, leadership, and customers
Applying strong problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration skills to support team success
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
4–5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including all phases of DO-178 certification
Practical experience with avionics software development
Strong background in DevSecOps and modern software development practices
Experience with the following tools and technologies:
GitLab, Git, CMake, MinGW
LynxOS, Coverity, Artifactory, Docker, Vista
Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Robot, and Lava
Knowledge of networking protocols and IT infrastructure
Experience working in an Agile development environment
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Experience supporting enterprise-wide technology adoption initiatives
Strong understanding of software development patterns in regulated industries
Excellent organizational and documentation skills
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams

Pay Details: $58.80 per hour
