Norton is a full-service creative agency specializing in the restaurant and hospitality industry, working with brands including national brands like Mellow Mushroom, Buffalo Wild Wings, and Friday’s and local Texas based brands as well. We’re looking to add a JUNIOR DESIGNER to join our team.
Our ideal new teammate has experience as designer for consumer facing creative, preferably restaurant, and is creative, a quick learner, and has a good understanding of design principles with attention to detail.
Our services range from menu design to social media strategy to restaurant concept development and brand positioning. The diverse team at Norton gives us the ability to unwind a brand’s potential. We feel strongly about long term partnerships with our clients, and believe that’s where the best work is born. Clients most often come to us for print, menu, social, branding, and interiors projects, but we are happy to tackle any creative conundrum. We love a good challenge!
JUNIOR DESIGNER EXPECTATIONS:
· Design print & digital marketing materials for national and local food brands
· Develop creative focused on client goals and objectives
· Work collaboratively and embrace constructive feedback
· Self-sufficient and able to independently develop processes
· Think both strategically and creatively
· Stay current with the global design community
· Be honest and direct without exception
· Create impeccable presentations and mockups
· Demonstrate a commitment to innovating
· Display a desire to learn and grow
· Ability to follow established creative styles or create from scratch
· Detail-oriented and self-motivated with a great attitude
· Ability to receive creative direction and design critique openly
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
· A design degree at accredited university in graphic design
· 1–3 years of relevant work experience
· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
· Agency experience preferred
· Restaurant/food brand experience preferred
· Strong communications skills
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Work very well in a team environment
