The Role
Mestiza New York is seeking a Social Activations Coordinator to support social media execution, brand storytelling, showroom experiences, and in-person activations. This is an entry-level role ideal for a recent graduate who is visually driven, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in fashion, marketing, and brand strategy.
You’ll work closely with the Digital Marketing & Brand Sr. Manager, collaborate with the CEO and Co-Founders, and gain hands-on exposure to how a growing fashion brand operates from the inside.
What You’ll DoSocial Media & Content Creation
- Create and execute social media content across Instagram (primary), with adaptations for TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Capture, edit, and post short-form video, Reels, Stories, and behind-the-scenes content
- Assist with writing captions, Stories, and occasional long-form content (blog or Substack)
- Help manage the social content calendar and daily posting schedule
Reporting & Creative Ideation
- Prepare and share weekly social performance reports, tracking engagement, growth, and trends
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing & Brand Director to brainstorm on-brand, eye-catching content ideas
- Contribute creative ideas that strengthen and evolve Mestiza New York’s brand identity across social platforms
Showroom, Events & Brand Activations
- Host and manage customer showroom appointments, offering a polished and welcoming brand experience
- Support trunk shows, events, and brand activations in NYC and beyond
- Represent Mestiza New York professionally in both digital and in-person settings
Marketing & Brand Support
- Organize and maintain digital assets, content libraries, and shared folders
- Support product styling, prep, and coordination for photo and video shoots
- Help moderate social community engagement (comments and DMs) to build strong customer relationships
- Participate in market and competitive research to support campaigns and launches
Who You Are
- Recent graduate or early-career candidate (0–2 years experience)
- Passionate about fashion, social media, and brand storytelling
- Strong visual eye with a sharp instinct for content creation and short-form video
- Highly organized, proactive, and energized by a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- A natural communicator who thrives in face-to-face and digital interactions and makes every customer feel seen, excited, and confident
- Deeply engaged with social media and genuinely obsessed with Mestiza—constantly tuned into trends and instinctively understanding how the brand shows up within them
