The Role
We're seeking a Financial Analyst who thrives in high-accountability environments and values precision. This role sits at the critical intersection of fund operations, third-party administration and valuation, and portfolio company support. The ideal candidate will possess basic financial fluency, solid judgment, and a collaborative spirit.
- This position will work directly with the CEO and cross-functionally with external Fund Administrators, Auditors, and Valuation Firms to maintain best-in-class financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Fund & Portfolio Accounting Support
- Act as primary internal liaison to external Fund Administrator for quarterly NAVs, capital calls, and investor allocations.
- Support compliance with audit, valuation, and reporting timelines across multiple fund vehicles.
- Coordinate with Independent Valuation Firms on asset-level modeling inputs and fair value documentation.
Capitalization & Investor Records
- Assist in reconciling capitalization tables in conjunctions with the company Cap Table Management Firm, including equity and debt positions, SAFEs, convertible notes, and option pools.
- Support investor relations team with capital account maintenance and distribution records.
Billing & Invoicing
- Prepare and track customer invoices across portfolio companies.
- Assist in loan servicing activities, including tracking principal, interest, and warrant adjustments.
- Monitor payment statuses and generate client reports for BDC lending activity.
Strategic Support
- Help systematize data flows between portfolio companies and fund operations.
- Recommend process improvements for internal reporting, cost allocations, and intercompany reconciliations.
Qualifications
- Entry level experience in basic finance, fund accounting, audit, or private equity/venture capital operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics required; CPA/MBA a plus.
- Strong understanding of capital structures, investment vehicles, and valuation principles.
- Proficiency with tools like QuickBooks, Excel, Airtable, or Carta is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to interface confidently with external partners.
