Summary
We are seeking a multifunctional cabinetry professional to manage the full project lifecycle—from initial client interaction to design development and final pricing. This role combines client-facing sales, detailed project estimating and technical design, while providing a seamless customer experience while ensuring accurate, buildable custom cabinetry solutions. We are a 100% Employee Owned Company and are looking for the right person to join us as owners.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating
- Prepare accurate cost estimates based on materials, labor, hardware, finishes, and installation requirements.
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and client notes/specifications.
- Demonstrate strong mathematical aptitude
- Develop proposals and revise pricing as scope evolves.
- Maintain consistent pricing standards and contribute to estimating template
Client Engagement / Sales
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming leads.
- Conduct client discovery meetings to understand needs, preferences and budget.
- Present design concepts, renderings and material options.
- Guide clients through product selections and revise concepts based on feedback.
Design
- Create cabinetry designs using CAD and Mozaik.
- Prepare floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings and detailed shop drawings.
- Perform site measurements to verify dimensions and identify installation variables.
- Collaborate with Operations Manager and production/shop teams to ensure constructability and accurate plans.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years (preferred, but not required for the right candidate) experience in cabinetry design, estimating, or millwork.
- Strong proficiency with CAD Design or similar platforms.
- Past use of Moziak or similar Design models, including 3 modeling and renderings
- Understanding of construction basics, materials, and hardware.
- Excellent communication skills and professional client presence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Technical Requirements
- Accurate field measurement capability (laser, manual, site conditions evaluation)
- Blueprint reading: architectural plans, millwork shop drawings, elevations, sections
- Cabinet construction knowledge — examples - face frame vs. frameless, joinery, hardware, dovetail, mortise and tenon, end panels, toe kicks, etc.
- Material understanding — wood species, sheet goods, veneer, finish levels, waste, hardware grades and usage
- Spreadsheet competency (Excel) including formulas and cost models
- Ability to calculate labor, overhead, and shop burden. Ability to adapt to established templates
- Knowledge of sequencing (shop time vs. install time vs. finishing time)
- Knowledge of installation techniques and complex field conditions

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
