Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Design Consultant/Sales professional to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the key driver of customer engagement, guiding clients through the design process while delivering exceptional sales experiences. Your expertise in layout design, lighting, and renovation will help clients realize their vision, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable journey from initial consultation to project completion. Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice on interior design, lighting, and remodeling solutions.
- Utilize SketchUp, CAD, and other design tools to create detailed layout plans and visual presentations that showcase product options and design concepts.
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to promote high-end sales of lighting, fixtures, and related products.
- Develop strong relationships with clients through effective communication, negotiation, and account management to maximize sales opportunities.
- Assist customers with inside and outside sales activities, including upselling complementary products and services to enhance project value.
- Manage merchandising efforts by organizing displays, stocking products, and maintaining an inviting store environment that encourages retail sales.
- Handle POS transactions, cash handling, and retail math accurately while providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote new products or special promotions through various channels.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends such as renovation techniques, construction standards, and lighting innovations to better serve clients.
- Support ongoing client relationships through follow-up communication and after-sales service to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales or retail sales environments, especially within interior design, lighting sales, or remodeling sectors.
- Strong proficiency with SketchUp, CAD software, and layout design tools; familiarity with lighting design is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills with the ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Experience working on renovation or remodeling projects within residential or commercial settings; knowledge of construction processes is a plus.
- Multilingual abilities are preferred to serve diverse client bases effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English; additional language skills are advantageous for broader outreach.
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely follow-up and customer engagement.
