The Ranger Group, a leading US Engineering Solutions provider to companies across the Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Electronics and Industrial Manufacturing industries, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Direct Hire role with a client of ours in Ft. Worth, Tx. The work will be completed 100% onsite.

Summary
Seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment. This role splits time between the office and the shop floor—approximately 50% each. The ideal candidate has strong experience in sheet metal fabrication, product layout, and process improvement, with the ability to move seamlessly between design collaboration and floor-level problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

Work closely with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and optimize layouts for sheet metal components and assemblies.
Support the full product lifecycle — from prototype through production and ongoing product support.
Lead small-scale capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for process and design issues.
Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Provide technical guidance on machine capabilities, tooling, and equipment utilization.
Drive process improvements (PIP) to increase efficiency, safety, and product quality.
Serve as a liaison between engineering, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a sheet metal or fabricated product environment.
Proven ability to work both at the desk (CAD/design collaboration, layouts, documentation) and on the floor (troubleshooting, testing, process optimization).
Experience managing small capital improvement projects.
Proficient with CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).
Strong project management, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
