PRIMARY FUNCTION
Under the guidance of the Plant General Manager, will be responsible for designing and developing production layouts for the company’s warehouse to increase productivity and quality standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reviewing current production schedules and processes to find potential improvements, designing the layouts of the facilities, and estimating production costs.
- Evaluate current manufacturing practices and identify those needing improvement.
- Manage production schedules and coordinate services to maximize productivity.
- Enforce quality control to reduce waste.
- Improve the efficiency of each production process.
- Evaluate employees’ tasks and responsibilities, identifying procedures or tools to improve productivity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred.
- Relevant fields of study include industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering and civil engineering.
EXPERIENCE
- Working experience with enterprise management software suites.
- At least two years of data analysis experience in the facilities maintenance program, specifically in asset management and spare part optimization.
- Must be self-driven, organized and be able to work in a team environment.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Use of both basic and advanced calculations to determine the current and potential productivity of a process.

- The ability to develop relationships with coworkers when making recommendations.
- Industrial Engineers need to use analytical skills to evaluate and interpret data. They also use these skills to create reports and describe the results to company decision-makers.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
- Incumbent must be able to operate a computer.
- Lift/carry 40lb. or less, push/pull 12lbs. or less.
- Stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching outward and over their head.
- This position may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary.
- May require travel. Associates will be required to take all appropriate training classes as required.
- Willingness to cross-train into other departments.
