We're small by design — which means every person here has real ownership and real impact. We're looking for a curious, analytically sharp Investment Analyst to join our investment team and help us identify and evaluate the next generation of breakout companies.
The Role
As an Investment Analyst at ASG, you'll work directly alongside our investment team — supporting deal due diligence, investment analysis, market research, and portfolio performance tracking across our private and public strategies. This is a hands-on role with real exposure to live deals, senior investors, and a fast-moving investment process. You won't be siloed into one function. You'll contribute to thematic research that shapes our investment direction, support diligence on active deals, and help ensure our portfolio companies are tracked with the rigor we expect at the institutional level. This is an ideal role for an early-career investor who wants to build deep foundations in venture and growth investing — and grow with a high-performing, lean team.
What You'll Do
1.Market Research & Thematic Development
- Produce quarterly sector snapshots covering funding trends, competitive landscapes, emerging technologies, and key investor activity
- Deliver monthly internal updates on market movements and macroeconomic shifts relevant to ASG's investment themes
- Support senior team members in building thematic investment theses through structured research and competitive mapping
2.Deal Support & Due Diligence
- Assist in evaluating investment opportunities, contributing to first-pass assessments across financial, competitive, and strategic dimensions
- Support investment memo preparation — including market positioning analysis, valuation benchmarking, and risk factor research
- Work closely with deal leads to ensure diligence is thorough, well-documented, and delivered on time
3.Portfolio Monitoring
- Track performance across a set of portfolio companies quarterly, monitoring KPIs, financials, and valuation trends
- Flag material developments or concerns to the relevant deal lead in a timely manner
4.Ecosystem Engagement & Internal Contribution
- Build professional connections through online networking, industry communities, and selective events
- Maintain organized research in Notion and shared drives for team-wide reference
- Contribute to process improvements and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, venture capital, private equity, consulting, or a related field — strong internship experience considered
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; strong academic track record preferred
- Sharp research and writing skills with a high attention to detail
- Comfortable with financial modeling, valuation analysis, and comparable company benchmarking
- Familiarity with tools such as Notion, PitchBook, or Bloomberg is a plus
- Genuine passion for technology, venture, and innovation-driven investing
- Highly organized, able to manage multiple workstreams, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, low-ego, and eager to learn
