Working in tandem with project managers and a small team of engineers, this team member will design and detail production prints for various food processing equipment and conveyance systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design food processing equipment in accordance with customer’s design standards and project requirements
- Work in a fast-paced industry in order to meet the ever-changing needs of our loyal customers
- Create production prints to support the shop during fabrication and assembly of equipment
- May be required to visit plants to take dimensions and get better understanding of scopes of work
- Collaborate with salesman and lead engineer to complete/improve existing process layouts
- Possess a basic understanding of meat/poultry processing to provide input on improving design, ergonomics, workflow in a plant setting
- Communicate with fellow designers on ways to consistently improve design office workflow and overall effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- 2 years SolidWorks experience required, specifically Weldments and Sheet metal
- Robust understanding of SolidWorks Weldments and SolidWorks Sheet Metal
- Drafting and print making skills with SolidWorks required
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD required
- Engineering degree preferred but not required
- Must be able to meet regular attendance with occasional overtime when needed
- Pre-Employment drug test required

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
