About The Role
The Digital Business Analyst will support the Digital Product Owner in delivering high-quality digital experiences through a member-facing web portal and mobile application. This platform enables members to manage their health plans, access benefits information, view claims, make payments, and engage with personalized care tools.
This role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering by translating business needs into technical requirements and ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives. The position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, has a strong technical foundation, and is motivated by improving user experience in regulated, data-driven environments such as healthcare.
Job Description
In this role, the Digital Business Analyst will contribute to enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives by helping modernize member-facing technology platforms. The analyst will support the delivery of reliable, scalable solutions in a regulated environment, balancing technical constraints with business and user needs. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, an aptitude for problem-solving, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
Technical Analysis & Solution Design
- Partner with the Digital Product Owner to gather, document, and analyze technical requirements for the member portal and mobile application, including re-platforming initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Identify gaps and opportunities within existing architectures to improve scalability, performance, and security.
Digital Cutovers & Platform Migrations
- Support the transition of members from a legacy portal to a new digital platform by documenting current-state functionality, recommending enhancements, and supporting implementation efforts.
- Author and update content within a content management system (CMS) as part of portal migration and enhancement activities.
- Ensure core member functions—such as benefit access, claims visibility, and payment processing—are optimized and seamlessly integrated.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and alignment.
- Partner with development teams to assess technical feasibility and dependencies for proposed features.
- Support testing, validation, and issue resolution to ensure a successful release and deployment.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
- Support QA activities by defining test cases, reviewing deliverables, and validating functional and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including process flows, use cases, and integration details.
- Ensure documentation remains accurate, concise, and up to date.
Personalization & Proactive Care Enablement
- Contribute to digital initiatives that support personalized, data-driven member experiences.
- Help ensure the technical foundation enables meaningful interactions and timely care engagement within the digital platform.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with APIs and system integrations.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Technical Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role supporting digital platforms.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and user-centered design.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and supporting Agile delivery teams.
- Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ownership mindset with the ability to drive work through completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting healthcare, insurance, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience authoring or managing content within a CMS.
- Exposure to analytics-driven personalization or customer experience initiatives.
