What You’ll Do
As a Building Materials Sales Representative, you’ll partner with homebuilders, developers, and remodelers to deliver solutions that meet their project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and grow a book of business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and cold calling
- Develop trusted relationships with builders and contractors
- Assess customer needs and recommend the right Pella® products
- Demonstrate product features, applications, and value
- Prepare quotes, estimates, and production specifications
- Support projects from bid stage through delivery and installation
- Follow up post‑installation to ensure customer satisfaction
- Use electronic tools and CRM systems to manage quotes and sales activity
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of outside sales experience (preferred)
- Background in construction, architecture, or building materials strongly preferred
- Window or door industry experience a plus (but not required)
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills
- Self‑motivated with a consultative, customer‑first mindset
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary + commission
- Earning potential of $60,000–$100,000+, with top performers exceeding this range
