This is an extraordinary opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Civil & Drilling Project Manager to join our leading construction firm. We specialize in the construction of high voltage substations and transmission lines. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our projects, from initial planning to completion. You will be at the forefront of our operations, ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on some of the most exciting and challenging construction projects in the industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of civil and drilling construction projects from inception to completion.
2. Developing and managing project schedules and budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
3. Coordinating and managing project teams, including subcontractors and suppliers.
4. Utilizing project management software such as Primavera 6, JD Edwards, EcoSys, and Hubble to effectively manage projects.
5. Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
6. Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.
7. Liaising with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project objectives are met.
8. Identifying and managing project risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies as necessary.
9. Providing regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on civil and drilling construction.
2. Proven experience in the construction of high voltage substations and transmission lines.
3. Expertise in construction management, project controls, budgeting, estimating, scheduling, and negotiation.
4. Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera 6, JD Edwards, EcoSys, and Hubble.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse project teams.
6. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to negotiate contracts and agreements to the benefit of the company.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and manage project risks.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders.
9. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
