Job Description
Obeetee, Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our New York City team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within the home goods and flooring industry. The Sales Assistant will support the sales team in managing day-to-day account activity, client communications, and order coordination. We are looking for someone who can:
- Support senior account managers with retail and trade account maintenance and client communications
- Assist with product development initiatives for key clients in partnership with the design team
- Help ensure projects in the pipeline are moving forward with approved pricing, quality, and design so POs are placed
- Follow up with logistics and order management teams to ensure all orders are on track
- Handle shipments to and from the showroom, including sample dispatch from our factories
- Assist with onboarding of new clients and the creation of product assortments and presentations
- Help manage the showroom and assist with in-person client meetings
- Collaborate on seasonal showroom setups
Job Requirements
- Experience in B2B, retail, or wholesale sales preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A proactive attitude with the ability to follow through on tasks with minimal direction
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS required
- Based in New York City — On-site Required
- 2 years of experience in sales, account management, or a related role within home furnishings, flooring, or a related industry preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Strong customer service skills
- Well-spoken and able to convey ideas and information clearly and professionally
- Highly motivated with the ability to handle deadlines and pressure with ease
- Comfortable working both independently and in a team environment
