Perform sales and administrative tasks including entering, processing, and communicating sales orders; answering customer calls; and developing and maintaining relationships with clients. Follow up on purchase order changes directed by Sales Managers related to Production, Warehouse, and Transportation matters (including revisions, promotions, shortages, and other changes).
Essential Job Functions
- Complete the order fulfillment process, including entering, reviewing, processing, and tracking product and purchase orders (POs)
- Send order confirmations to customers and process POs into SAP
- Track and communicate PO status to customers and generate weekly PO reports
- Communicate with Production, Sales, Supply Chain, and Transportation teams
- Inform Sales Managers of production changes, shortages, and delays
- Follow up on changes directed by Sales Managers regarding Production, Warehouse, Transportation, and customer requests
- Coordinate with CEDI Managers on shared loads and confirm correct shipping and delivery dates
- Obtain and review Bills of Lading (BOLs) to verify shipment fulfillment and share BOLs with Sales, customers, and administration
- Assist with setting up new customers, forms, documentation, and portals
- Attend training sessions to stay current on internal and external sales systems, including SAP, Web EDI, and Retail Link
- Assist in shipping and tracking samples and customer POS supplies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Two (2) years of customer service experience
- One (1) year of experience in Consumer Packaged Goods
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Experience using ERP systems
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Ability to work within a matrix organization
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Environmental / Working Conditions
- Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing
- Occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing
- Frequent use of office equipment requiring eye, hand, and finger coordination
- Oral and auditory ability sufficient for interpersonal and phone communication
