Role Description We are looking for motivated and scientifically fluent BD specialists to help expand VesoBio’s customer base and strategic partnerships. This role focuses on identifying new leads, developing relationships with biotech/pharma companies and academic research groups, understanding customer project needs, and converting opportunities into service contracts or product orders.
Ideal Candidate
A life science professional with strong communication skills and experience in biotech BD, CRO/CDMO sales, life science tools, technical sales, or customer development.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across biotech, pharma, academic, and research institute customers.
- Promote VesoBio’s service platforms, including AI protein design, nanobody/VHH discovery, antibody engineering, protein expression, viral vectors, RNA synthesis/LNP, and cell engineering.
- Build and manage a pipeline of leads, prospects, active opportunities, and repeat customers.
- Understand customer needs and coordinate with internal scientific teams to propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, capability decks, and service scopes.
- Support outbound campaigns through LinkedIn, email outreach, conferences, customer visits, and partner referrals.
- Track market trends, competitor offerings, and customer pain points in biologics discovery and preclinical development.
- Help improve BD materials, service packages, website messaging, and customer-facing presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, immunology, molecular biology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in biotech BD, sales, alliance management, CRO/CDMO services, life science tools, or technical customer-facing roles.
- Strong understanding of at least one area: antibody/nanobody discovery, protein engineering, recombinant protein expression, viral vectors, RNA/LNP, cell engineering, or preclinical research services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to understand customer scientific needs and translate them into service opportunities.
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-growing startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network in biotech, pharma, academic research labs, or CRO/CDMO customers.
- Experience selling custom research services, biologics discovery services, reagents, RNA products, viral vector services, or protein expression services.
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools, email campaigns, or conference-based lead generation.
