Job Description for Business Development & Sales Manager role:
Role Overview
We’re looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development & Sales Manager to help grow Influu’s brand client portfolio across TikTok Shop, e-commerce, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, wellness, and consumer product categories.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying potential brand clients, conducting discovery calls, presenting Influu’s services, preparing customized proposals, and managing the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing. You’ll also work closely with internal teams to ensure client expectations are clearly communicated and smoothly handed off after closing.
This role is ideal for someone who understands TikTok Shop and social commerce, enjoys building relationships with brands, and can translate client needs into customized marketing solutions that drive GMV, creator collaboration, content volume, and conversion growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential brand clients across TikTok Shop, e-commerce, beauty, fashion, lifestyle, wellness, and consumer product categories
- Schedule and conduct discovery calls to understand each brand’s business model, challenges, goals, and TikTok Shop needs
- Present Influu’s services, including affiliate management, creator outreach, paid creator collaborations, livestream operations, short video production, TikTok Shop strategy, and paid ads
- Prepare customized proposals, service packages, pricing structures, and follow-up materials based on client goals and budget
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to closing, including follow-ups, negotiations, and contract coordination
- Build and maintain relationships with brand founders, marketing teams, e-commerce managers, and TikTok Shop operators
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients before onboarding
- Clearly communicate client expectations, campaign objectives, deliverables, timelines, and pricing to internal teams
- Support a smooth handoff from the sales stage to account management and operations teams
- Stay updated on TikTok Shop trends, creator commerce, affiliate marketing, livestreaming, and e-commerce growth strategies
- Research competitor brands, creator strategies, category performance, and TikTok Shop case studies to support sales conversations
- Analyze potential clients’ TikTok Shop presence, product positioning, creator content, and growth opportunities
- Provide strategic recommendations to brands on how Influu can help improve GMV, content volume, creator collaboration, and conversion performance
- Work closely with internal teams, including creator management, livestream, content production, paid ads, and account management
- Assist in creating pitch decks, case studies, sales scripts, service menus, and proposal templates
- Track business development activities, client communications, and deal progress using CRM or internal tracking systems

Requirements
- 1–3+ years of experience in business development, sales, e-commerce, agency work, influencer marketing, or related roles
- Strong understanding of TikTok, TikTok Shop, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, livestream commerce, and social commerce
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand client needs and translate them into customized marketing solutions
- Proven ability to manage multiple leads, proposals, and follow-ups at the same time
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, CRM or lead tracking systems, and presentation tools
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, onsite startup environment
- Bilingual English/Mandarin is a strong plus
- Bonus: experience working with beauty, wellness, lifestyle, fashion, or consumer goods brands
