OverviewThe Account Manager is responsible for driving field sales activities, commercial growth, and clinical training initiatives to exceed unit and revenue targets for Bernafon hearing solutions within assigned Sam's Club Hearing Centers in close coordination with Nations Benefits. Operating as a dedicated, traveling field sales professional, the primary objective of this role is to build deep, consultative relationships to optimize utilization, maximize brand adoption, and expand market share.
We are hiring for multiple positions across major metro areas. Account Managers will be required to live in one of the following metros: TX (Houston or Dallas/Ft. Worth), IL/OH (Chicago or Columbus), or FL/GA (Tampa, Orlando, or Atlanta).
Responsibilities
Field Sales & Account Management
- Drive Regional Revenue: Meet and exceed all unit sales goals, revenue projections, and strategic Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by executive leadership.
- Performance Analysis: Routinely analyze sales reports and territory data to uncover performance gaps, project future volume, and implement tactical action plans.
- Operational Cycle: Execute an efficient travel calendar of minimum 1 visit every quarter per Sam’s Club in region to maintain high-visibility market coverage.
- Competitor Mitigation: Continually assess localized market conditions to determine customer needs, proactively neutralizing competitive threats within the territory.
Relationship Management & Strategic Partnerships
- Sam’s Club Engagement: Establish trusted, sustainable relationships with in-club professionals (Audiologists and Hearing Instrument Specialists) to encourage brand loyalty and clinical confidence.
- Nations Hearing Collaboration: Build strong networks with Nations Hearing regional personnel, field coordinators, trainers and operational management to align local strategies and maximize referred patient traffic.
- Warehouse-Level Support: Nurture professional ties with Sam’s Club Warehouse Personnel and regional staff to integrate Bernafon seamlessly into general club operations.
Training & Clinical Education
- Audiological Training: Educate and train in-club fitters on Bernafon product portfolios, hardware mechanics, and proprietary fitting software to support an excellent patient experience.
- Educational Seminars: Design and deliver dynamic, motivating audiological workshops and seminars to audiences ranging from individual specialists up to potential large regional meetings.
- CEU Management: Collaborate with the clinical training department to facilitate continuous education unit (CEU) certifications for regional training attendees.
Strategic Reporting
- Prepare and submit thorough field activity summaries, sales forecasts, and market-trend logs directly to the National Sales Manager.
CRM Reporting & Administration
- Salesforce/CRM Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of all account interactions, contacts, and milestones in the company CRM system daily.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or active Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful sales experience withing the hearing aid industry, medical device sector or related healthcare business
- Strong audiological or technical background with proven expertise in related software configurations and patient facilitation strategies
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel
- Professional familiarity with modern CRM and enterprise tools
This role requires extensive travel, up to 80% across the designated region.
This is a remote role, with a requirement to live within the assigned territory. You will need the following when working from home:
- Reliable and secure Internet Service Provider at home (no public WiFi) for duration of working hours
- Sufficient room to set up a laptop, monitors, keyboard and mouse
- Comfortable space to work for duration of working hours
- Quiet, private and secure space in which to work
The pay for this position is expected to be from $80,000 and upward + commission; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (listed below)
