POSITION SUMMARY
The Product Technician plays a critical role in supporting product development, supplier management, quality assurance, and sourcing initiatives. A primary responsibility of this role is the proficient use of SolidWorks for product design, reverse engineering, 3D modeling, assembly creation, and engineering drawing development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Design & Engineering
- Utilize SolidWorks as the primary CAD platform for product design, development, and engineering documentation.
- Create, modify, and maintain 3D part models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), exploded views, technical specifications, and product documentation.
- Reverse engineer existing products and components to support new product development and aftermarket product expansion.
- Maintain engineering drawing revisions and ensure proper document control practices are followed.
SUPPLIER SOURCING
- Using Reverse Engineering provide prints to suppliers for sample production.
- Evaluate supplier samples for part approval.
EDUCATION
- High School Diploma required. College Degree preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office, Warehouse environment with some possible travel
Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
