Position: Wireless Network Engineer

Duration: 6 months contract
Pay Rate: $75-85/hr.

Overview
We are seeking a Senior Wireless Network Engineer with deep expertise in Cisco routing and switching and strong experience designing, deploying, and supporting Aruba wireless solutions. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, capable of leading complex implementations, troubleshooting critical issues, and providing guidance on best practices. Experience with Cisco Meraki is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco routing and switching.
- Deploy, configure, and optimize Aruba wireless solutions across campus and enterprise environments.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support for LAN/WAN, wireless, and network security issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to support network initiatives and resolve technical challenges.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and runbooks.
- Ensure network performance, scalability, and availability through proactive monitoring and capacity planning.
- Contribute to network modernization projects and recommend improvements in architecture and security posture.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Cisco route/switch technologies (Catalyst, Nexus, IOS, IOS-XE).
- Solid experience with Aruba wireless (ArubaOS, ClearPass, AirWave, Central).
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across routing, switching, and wireless.
- Familiarity with routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and high-availability designs.
- Experience with network monitoring and performance tools (SolarWinds, Aruba Central, etc.).
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking.
- CCNP, CCIE, or Aruba Certified (ACMP/ACMX) highly desirable.
- Exposure to security (firewalls, NAC) and SD-WAN solutions.
- Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience.
