Position Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Credentialing Specialist to join our team as an independent contractor. The right candidate is organized, dependable, and knowledgeable about behavioral health insurance credentialing and payer requirements.
Hours: 10–20 per week to start, with room for growth as our client base expands.
Responsibilities
- Complete insurance credentialing, recredentialing, and provider enrollments
- Maintain and update CAQH profiles
- Track credentialing progress and ensure timely follow-up with payers
- Communicate with clients and insurance representatives professionally
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health credentialing
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
