Key Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of a CAD manager, you will be trained to complete a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
- Create and modify detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for sheet metal parts, weldments, and assemblies.
- Translate customer prints, sketches, and specifications into shop-ready drawings.
- Generate specific files for fabrication equipment
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet project requirements
- Review and verify CAD output for compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales, and internal teams to ensure project success.
- Assist with field measurements and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Maintain clear documentation of design changes and modifications.
- Provide exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster a safe, positive, and professional working environment.
Qualifications:
- 0 – 3 years of drafting experience using the latest version of AutoCAD
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office a plus
- Self-motivated, team player and eager to learn
- Good communication skills
- Ability to respond to urgent project needs outside regular hours when necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
