Job Description:

This role works closely with both internal and external stakeholders including the fund controller, COO, CFO, front office, trade operations, fund administrator, outsourced middle office, prime brokers and investors, to assist in financial reporting and administration operations of our business.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of financial statements, investor reports, periodic reports, and other fund and SMA related financial information in compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Work closely with the investment team for the completion of the periodic investment valuation process
Perform reviews of NAVs prepared by the external fund administrator and verify investment positions and accuracy of transactions
Model, track, and report fund economics as it relates to various executed agreements
Review daily bank activity, review vendor invoices and set up payments, monitor incoming and outgoing wire releases, and bank account reconciliations
Perform detailed review of expenses charged to funds, including monitoring fund accounts payable and reviewing payments for processing and approval once posted by the fund administrator
Facilitate requests for information for internal and external audits
Assist tax consultants with tax return preparation, provisions, and estimates where applicable
Coordinate internally with the asset management team regarding financial performance and cash needs
Track and optimize annual budget

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or commensurate experience
3+ years of public/private accounting experience
Proficient in Excel with strong quantitative and analytical skills
Proficient in QuickBooks
Previous experience working with alternative investment funds and/or credit derivatives preferred
Strong U.S. GAAP technical accounting expertise
Excellent analytical and communication skills
