Summary:
Looking for a experienced SolidWorks designer - Someone that has experience and does not need much training.

Responsibilities:

The role will support various engineering activities including drafting type work (3D solid modeling, drawing detailing, dimensioning, tolerancing), critical thinking/problem solving, and possibly mini projects covering engineering support of quality, sourcing, or manufacturing.
Some support for the electronics team is possible depending on the skillset of the candidate.
The individual will be exposed to various aspects of the design process such as tender development, conceptual definition, detail design, design verification/validation, and product launch/manufacturing support.

Qualifications:

A high degree of self-discipline and self-motivation is required.
The candidate must currently be pursuing a BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a university recognized by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, ABET.
The ability to analytically work through problems, make decisions, and act consistently with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences is a must.
Basic skills with Excel spreadsheets and basic formula writing are required, in addition to strong attention to detail and emphasis on meeting commitments
The candidate must have the ability to utilize and improve upon Company’s current processes, systems, and culture and ability to work within project schedules, budget constraints, and a matrix organization.
Ability to communicate, in written and oral form, detailed technical engineering information, guidelines and standards/statutes/codes/ regulations to various audiences to ensure understanding to seek compliance.
Interpersonal skills needed when dealing with all levels of internal and external organizations.
Some exposure to 2D detail drawings and 3D models of individual components (castings, machined parts, sheet metal, etc.) and large assemblies preferred.

Desired Skills:

Sound knowledge and demonstration of engineering principles.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Experience with 3D CAD modeling and 2D drafting, preferably SolidWorks, is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
