IT Field Support Technician- Supports approx. 20 small retail stores. Everything in the store. Hardware/software. POS. Cameras. Multimedia, smart, security device installation. Racking and stacking network equipment. Field service/technical support for stores. Install racks/cameras/hardware & support end users. Support of hardware and software solutions deployed in retail stores. Resolve user problems presented from the end users through the Support Service Desk. Answers service requests for user computer performance. Problem identification and resolution. Troubleshooting and follow-up to assist users. Coordinates user problem resolution with other departments. Tracks and reports recurring problems. Logs and tracks issues in problem management database. Maintains history records and related problem documentation. Move, add, or change desktop/laptop hardware and software. Analyze customer needs. Develop appropriate solutions. Corrects problems using documented procedures, available tools. Escalates to Team Lead. Keeps manager informed of trends, significant problems and delays, customers informed of problems or scheduled downtime, and customers updated on status of reported problems or projects. Learns retail systems and aids IT team in support and troubleshooting. Coordinates preventative maintenance and vendor services. Maintenance of IT standards and procedures. Low voltage wire pulling and termination. Installing multimedia devices. Racking and stacking network equipment.
Technology support experience. Past jobs that would be a good fit for this one: IT generalist, IT retail support, hotel or restaurant onsite tech support, Deskside Support Technician. Field Installation Technician. Field Service Technician. Installation Technician. POS Technical Support.
Lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to drive.
M-F. 8-5 (flexible). Make your own schedule. Driving every day, going out to visit assigned retail stores.
