Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Mechanical Engineer based in Reading, PA. The Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist in the design and development of mechanical systems, including diaphragm vacuum pumps and air compressors. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and editing machine designs, utilizing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for detailed drawings, and supporting Research and Development (R&D) projects. Additionally, the engineer will contribute to ongoing project management tasks, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of machine design principles
- Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software
- Strong Project Management abilities to handle deliverables and timelines effectively
- Involvement in Research and Development (R&D), including problem-solving and innovation
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with design for manufacturing or product development is a plus
