Job Summary
The Product Development Assistant is an entry-level role for a highly organized, detail-oriented individual looking to grow and expand their skills within apparel product development. You'll support the Product Development team by maintaining development files, tracking materials and samples, communicating with international vendors, and ensuring development milestones are met on time.
This is a full-time, in-person position based at our headquarters. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain organized development files for trims, fabrics, lab dips, strike-offs, and samples in PLM (Centric) and shared trackers
· Assist in reviewing and approving material submits, ensuring accuracy and alignment with product requirements
· Communicate with international vendors to track submits, request updates, and follow up on delays
· Track, inspect, and organize development samples for fittings and milestone meetings
· Organize and maintain physical material libraries, swatch cards, and reference binders for design and sales teams
· Assist with sketch CADs and help with tech packs when necessary
· Support cross-functional teams by coordinating materials, samples, and documentation throughout the development process
· Duties and responsibilities are subject to change based on business priorities and team needs
Qualifications
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Merchandising, or related field (or equivalent internship experience)
· Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Experience in Adobe Illustrator
· Proactive, collaborative mindset with eagerness to learn
