About the Role
We're hiring a creative, reliable Part-Time Social Media Specialist to help us build and engage our audience on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google Business Profile. This is a flexible, on-site role ideal for someone local who loves content creation, understands local marketing, and wants to make an impact on a small but growing business.
- Hours: 20-30 hours per week (flexible schedule – you set your own hours as long as deadlines are met)
- Position Type: Part-time, on-site
- Location: On-site at our Wilmington, NC office/facility. Candidates must be based in or near Wilmington, NC.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and schedule engaging posts, stories, reels, and videos showcasing our services, team, customer transformations, tips for better indoor air quality, seasonal promotions, and behind-the-scenes content
- Design simple graphics and edit short videos (using tools like Canva, CapCut, or similar)
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely, friendly manner
- Grow our followers organically and boost engagement with local audiences
- Track basic analytics (reach, engagement, leads) and suggest improvements
- Collaborate with our team to align content with promotions, service specials, and customer testimonials
- Help manage and update our Google Business Profile with photos, posts, and reviews
- Capture on-site photos and videos as needed
Qualifications & Skills
- 1+ years of experience managing social media for a business (or strong personal/portfolio examples)
- Proficient with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and basic design/video tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, etc.)
- Excellent writing skills – friendly, professional tone that connects with homeowners
- Creative eye for visuals and storytelling
- Basic understanding of social media algorithms and best practices
- Self-motivated, organized, and reliable with strong communication
- Knowledge of (or interest in) HVAC, indoor air quality, or home services is a big plus
- Must be based in the Wilmington, NC area
