Schedule

Location

Overview
Willow Street Pictures is a boutique fine art portrait studio seeking a dependable, detail oriented Custom Picture Framer and Framing Designer to take ownership of our in house custom framing department. This is an immediate opening.
You will own the framing workflow from design consult through production, quality control, and ready for pickup delivery. This role includes both premium client portrait framing and efficient production for our B2B exhibit displays. We have served clients for over 20 years creating custom printed portraits and museum quality framing entirely in house.
What you’ll do
- Design framing solutions during private, by appointment consultations as scheduled and produce finished pieces in house to a consistent, gallery level standard. We value clean corners, precise reveals, and consistent finishing, and we take quality control seriously.
- Trusted to manage multiple orders at once and keep projects moving to promised dates. You’ll handle measuring, cutting, fitting, assembly, finishing, and final quality control, while keeping multiple projects moving through the pipeline on schedule.
- Maintain a clean workspace, track production, and order materials from vendors as needed. You will also support our B2B exhibit program by producing consistent, presentation ready framed displays using studio standard specifications, and you may occasionally assist with scheduled delivery and installation at select partner businesses.
What we’re looking for
- Custom framing experience required, 2 plus years preferred, while still welcoming exceptional candidates with strong hands on ability.
- Strong eye for design and color, accurate measuring and cutting, and comfort with shop math and production tracking.
- Able to lift and move artwork and materials, use framing tools safely, and hold a valid driver’s license.
- This is a by appointment studio role, so dependable attendance and timely communication are essential.
Commission
Commissions are paid on framing design sales you personally sell during consultations.
How to apply
In your message, tell us your years of custom framing experience, your favorite moulding style to work with, and include photos of three finished pieces or a portfolio link.
