Reservations Agents at The Hotel Chelsea serve as the first point of contact for guests seeking to experience Hotel Chelsea. This role requires refined communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and a warm, intuitive approach that reflects the character and history of our legendary hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond courteously and promptly to reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
- Provide accurate information on room categories, availability, rates, packages, and hotel amenities.
- Process bookings, changes, and cancellations with precision in the hotel’s PMS
- Personalize each reservation by identifying guest preferences and noting special requests.
- Collaborate with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Sales to support seamless guest stays.
- Maintain strong knowledge of current offers, neighborhood happenings, and hotel programming.
- Research daily arrivals and update guest, company, and travel agent profile notes
- Handle VIP and confidential guest information with discretion.
- Demonstrate elevated service standards in all guest interactions, including practices set by Leading Hotels of the World
Qualifications
- Previous luxury hotel or high-end service experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Suite & Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency with PMS/CRS systems (we use StayNTouch)
- Ability to multitask calmly and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
