HHR Coordinator (Contract – 3 Months)
Onboarding & Talent Sourcing | Hybrid (Charlotte, NC)
NearU is a people-first, technology-enabled platform transforming the home services industry. We’re seeking an HR Coordinator to join our team on a 3-month contract to support onboarding and recruiting efforts during a busy growth period.
This role is hybrid—onsite Monday–Thursday in our Charlotte office, remote on Fridays.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate pre-employment activities (background checks, drug screens, MVRs)
- Manage electronic onboarding and communicate with new hires
- Initiate required training, including safety and compliance
- Complete and track new hire documentation (E-Verify, policy acknowledgements)
- Maintain onboarding trackers and ensure HR compliance
- Support recruitment by proactively sourcing candidates on Indeed
- Assist with HR operations, audits, and offboarding as needed
What You Bring
- 3+ years of HR experience
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Experience with HRIS, ATS, and job boards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience)
