Financial Analyst – Family Office
Salary Range: $85,000-$100,000
About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical Financial Analyst to join our family office. This position offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of domestic and international investments while contributing to strategic decision-making in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and due diligence on prospective investments across asset classes and geographies, including private equity, real estate, and public markets.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, monitor portfolio performance, and stress-test assumptions. Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda, quarterly performance reports, and presentations for principals.
- Review and interpret legal documents including term sheets, partnership agreements, subscription documents, and loan covenants, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Track portfolio company financials, flag variances to plan, and identify potential risks or opportunities. Support tax planning and estate planning initiatives by gathering data and coordinating with advisors. Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and macroeconomic factors relevant to domestic and international holdings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field; CFA progress or MBA a plus.
- Three to five years of experience in investment banking, commercial banking, private equity, asset management, or a family office environment.
- Real estate investment or lending experience preferred.
- Exposure to cross-border transactions or international markets a plus.
- Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all work product.
- Familiarity with legal concepts relevant to investments, including securities regulations, contract interpretation, and entity structures.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling; experience with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar platforms preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.
