About the Opportunity
We are leading a confidential search for a newly created Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager role with a Tier 1 automotive supplier generating over $600 million in annual revenue. This critical position is being established with full backing and visibility from both the COO and Chairman, reflecting the company’s deep commitment to building a world-class safety culture and sustainability framework.
The EHS Manager will serve as the site’s subject matter expert for all environmental, health, and safety activities—balancing compliance excellence with strategic business enablement. This role offers the opportunity to build and shape programs from the ground up, driving a proactive, engaged, and compliant safety culture within a high-performance manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of site-wide EHS strategies aligned with corporate vision and regulatory standards.
- Serve as the site authority and advocate for OSHA, EPA, and all local, state, and federal compliance matters.
- Drive a “Safety First” culture across all levels of the organization through leadership presence, communication, and accountability.
- Conduct plant floor audits, chair Safety Committee meetings, and maintain accurate OSHA documentation.
- Lead investigations for accidents, incidents, and near misses—including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work programs in partnership with HR.
- Direct the delivery of EHS training for employees, contractors, and visitors, ensuring compliance and engagement.
- Manage regulatory interactions, internal/external audits, and continuous improvement initiatives related to ISO 14001 and IATF 16949 standards.
- Partner closely with operations leadership to embed risk-based decision-making within daily operations and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive industry background preferred.
- Proven track record in OSHA compliance, incident investigation, and regulatory audit management.
- OSHA Safety Certification required; CSP or related professional credential highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook required.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
