About Us
We are a European industrial conglomerate launching our U.S. trading arm focused on premium building‑materials solutions—mortar, plaster, adhesives, cladding, flooring systems, PVC products, paving stones, and more. With an established operations footprint in Moundsville, WV, we’re poised to scale quickly across the Pittsburgh‑centered Tri‑State market.
The Opportunity
As Sales & Commercial Development Manager, you will build the revenue engine for our U.S. launch—owning pipeline creation, distributor/channel development, key account wins, and the commercial foundations that turn interest into repeatable growth. You’ll also partner cross‑functionally to ensure the right SKUs are certified, available, and delivered on time.
What You’ll Do
Drive revenue & market entry
- Build and manage a new‑business pipeline across distributor yards, specialty retailers, contractors, and selected direct accounts.
- Open and scale channel partnerships; negotiate terms, set sell‑through programs, and run joint business plans.
- Lead key account pursuits from prospecting and technical positioning to trials, qualification, and conversion.
Shape the U.S. launch portfolio
- Evaluate the global catalog and recommend U.S.‑fit SKUs with clear value propositions and competitive positioning.
- Coordinate U.S. compliance (e.g., ASTM/ANSI/ICC‑ES as applicable) and ensure technical datasheets/spec language support sell‑in.
Commercial operations that enable selling
- Stand up quoting → order → delivery workflows with inside sales
- Own pricing, launch programs, CRM hygiene, funnel metrics, and forecast reviews.
Build the brand locally
- Activate local marketing: distributor clinics, contractor demos, jobsite trials, and targeted promotions tied to seasonal demand.
What You’ll Bring
- 15+ years in building materials sales or channel development (e.g., mortars, adhesives, finishes, cladding/flooring, hardscape).
- Proven track record opening new accounts and building distributor networks in PA–OH–WV or broader Mid‑Atlantic.
- Strong commercial fundamentals—prospecting, solution selling, negotiation, and forecast discipline—plus comfort with technical sell‑through.
- Familiarity with import/logistics and working with warehousing/3PL partners is a plus.
- Based in/near Pittsburgh with routine travel across the Tri‑State and occasional presence at Moundsville, WV.
Compensation
We offer a base salary complemented by a high‑upside bonus plan designed for builders and closers. Bonuses are the primary upside, tied to revenue growth, gross margin, new‑account activation, and service KPIs, with uncapped earning potential for sustained outperformance. Benefits included.
