Desired background:
- MBA or equivalent Investment Banking experience at the analyst level with a BS or BA in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related major
- 2-3 years experience in financial analysis, finance and accounting and industry research
- Demonstrated strong financial interest and aptitude
- Experience in supporting M&A transactions
- Experience in analytically rigorous environment, ideally with an advisor to technology sector firms such as investment banking, private equity or venture capital
- Excellent analytical and modeling skills
- Proven ability to use technology to develop data and analyses
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for support and analyses required to execute M&A transactions
- Participates in structuring and executing transactions
- Functions as a backup for relationships with important clients and is the key contact for some clients
- Analyze business performance, market opportunities, investments, and make actionable recommendations
- Prepare valuations, write memorandums for company sale assignments and private placements, prepare M&A analyses, and participate in due diligence
- Performs company profiling and company and industry analyses, presentations, pitch books and other business development related materials
- Trains interns and analysts on daily tasks for entry level support positions
