We are seeking a talented and creative Graphic Designer and Customer Service Representative with Printing Experience to join our team. As a Graphic Designer and Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that effectively communicate our brand message. Your duties will include:
Graphic Design & Prepress
- Design layouts for print, signage, promotional items, and digital applications.
- Prepare customer artwork for production (preflight, file formatting, color management, bleed, etc.).
- Work with large-format and digital print files (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, CorelDRAW).
- Maintain brand consistency for clients across all marketing and print assets.
- Suggest creative solutions and upgrades to enhance customer projects.
Customer Service & Project Coordination
- Serve as the first point of contact for walk-in, phone, and email inquiries.
- Consult with customers on project needs, timelines, and budgets.
- Provide quotes, explain printing options, and manage proof approvals.
- Track orders from intake through production and delivery/installation.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
Printing & Production Support
- Operate digital printers, copiers, wide-format printers, and finishing equipment (laminators, cutters, binders, etc.).
- Ensure accuracy and quality control throughout the production process.
- Assist production team with setup, finishing, and packaging when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of substrates, signage materials, and printing techniques.
Qualifications
- Education/Experience:
- 2+ years of graphic design experience (preferably in print/sign industry).
- Customer service or account management experience in a print shop or similar environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Knowledge of print file setup (CMYK, bleeds, DPI, vector vs raster).
- Familiarity with wide-format printing, signage, and finishing equipment a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
