REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
We are open to a range of experience levels, but ideal candidates will have:
- B.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with 2D and 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, PTC Creo, and/or Fusion preferred)
- Understanding of surfacing techniques and top-down design methodologies
- Hands-on experience with prototyping and fabrication
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting, and related methods
- Strong communication skills - verbal, visual, and written
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
Additional Experience That Is Highly Valued
- Proven success delivering products from concept through production
- Strong experience designing multi-component assemblies and mechanical mechanisms
- Experience defining product architecture, including part breakout and material selection
- Strong understanding of design for manufacturing (DFM)
- Ability to rapidly iterate, prototype, and validate design concepts
Selected candidates will be asked to complete a CAD/design challenge based on a project brief provided by Pump Studios.
