Position Overview
Cofinance Group is seeking a motivated Acquisitions Analyst to join its New York office. The Analyst will work directly with senior leadership on sourcing, underwriting, and executing new investment opportunities. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent organizational ability, and the capacity to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment. The position is well-suited for a candidate looking to take on meaningful responsibility at an active mid-size real estate investment firm with a focus on the New York City market.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate new investment opportunities by maintaining relationships with brokers, owners, and market participants
- Organize and track the acquisitions pipeline, ensuring accurate reporting and timely follow-up
- Build, create, and modify financial models in Excel to underwrite prospective acquisitions and developments
- Conduct market research, comparable property analysis, and rent/expense benchmarking
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in property tours and support site-level due diligence
- Assist with transaction execution, including coordinating third-party consultants, reviewing leases, and analyzing operating data
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, investment sales, development, investment banking, or private equity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; ability to build and modify complex financial models from scratch
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with brokers, owners, and partners
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to take initiative in a small team setting
- Familiarity with Argus and market research tools is a plus
