Peek is making housing more affordable by helping property managers operate more efficiently. The Peek platform starts with a fast, scalable solution to create virtual tours and the tools needed for property managers to market, organize and lease effectively. With the consumer engagement data we generate from user sessions, we are building AI/ML driven tools to help property managers identify and prioritize the highest quality prospective tenants.
The company is scaling rapidly, and we're looking to add a Junior UI / Visual Designer to our team. You'll dive headfirst into working with a fast-growing startup, but also have the opportunity to be mentored by a veteran designer. This is a role on our Product team focused on UI design but will also entail graphic design responsibilities for our Marketing team. Over time, this role may evolve and grow into a full-time placement into either department depending on where you excel.
We're based in Brooklyn, NY, and would prefer someone in the NYC area; however, this position is open to anyone located in North America willing to work EST business hours. This is a full-time role.
You will:
- Work closely with our product managers, engineers and design team on both consumer and enterprise components of our platform in applying design to achieve product objectives.
- Collaborate closely with our Marketing team on campaign collateral
- Sometimes work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and at others on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables
- Apply critical thinking towards designing interfaces involving both 2D and 3D spaces.
- Participate in design reviews and share your work regularly with the design and company leadership
You may be fit for this role if you:
- Can reduce complex problems down to the right balance of flexibility, power, and ease of use
- Are skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work
- Are an expert and passionate about in either UI, UX, or visual design, but skilled in more disciplines across product design
- You care about details and are excited to keep pushing your work until is pixel-perfect
- Think in systems and are able to extrapolate and extend shared patterns and behaviors
- Have 2+ years relevant design experience
- Have expert-level skill in Figma, Illustrator, Webflow and other web-design tools
