Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and proactive individual to join our multimedia recording studio team as a General Skills Studio Assistant for the summer. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while working with others in a fast-paced environment. The Summer Studio Assistant Program will start May 1st, 2026 and run through August 2nd, 2026. If this timeline does not work for you please do not apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Audio Production:
- Assisting with audio recording sessions: setting up microphones, positioning equipment, and ensuring proper sound levels.
- Editing and mixing audio: editing recorded audio tracks, removing background noise, adjusting levels, and mixing different audio elements together.
Video Production:
- Setting up and adjusting equipment such as cameras, lights, and microphones, as well as ensuring that the set is prepared and organized for filming.
- Responsible for the seamless operation of video switchboard equipment during live productions, broadcasts, or events.
- Managing the switching of video sources to create dynamic and engaging content for audiences.
Lighting Design:
- Envision, design, and implement lighting designs for stage productions.
Production Management:
- Utilize a digital task management system to track equipment inventory, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Execute the cleaning and maintenance of the studio's physical environment, assist in stage setup and support performance curation,
Business Development:
- Provide administrative support for recording sessions, including setup, cleanup, and checklist management.
- Support business administrative activities, including customer service, sales, and production management.
Social Media Management and Curation:
- Contribute to social media management efforts, including content curation, creation, and engagement.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc.).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and responsibilities.
- Weekend availability.
- Strong work ethic.
- Must be at least 21 years of age by the start of internship.
