As our Controller, you will oversee all financial aspects of our operations, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with regulations for about a dozen LLCs and a Trust. This role is pivotal in supporting our mission to maintain financial integrity while driving strategic growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, cash management, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for senior management review.
- Conduct account analysis and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial software systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity to meet operational needs.
- Provide guidance and support to the finance team in day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Master's degree/CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, ideally in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including regulatory reporting requirements.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct software application a plus but not required.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams.
- Experience in managing accounts payable processes is essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
