Job description:
We are seeking a part-time Customer Experience & Marketing Lead with heavier commitment during the summer months. The position would work collaboratively with the Race Director to develop and execute a comprehensive, year-round marketing strategy. This lead would oversee all digital channels, including website management, social media, and email communications. The position is a blend between marketing and customer experience, also responsible for partnership communications, customer service, bib assignment, and merchandise fulfillment.
The schedule for this position can be constructed to fit in with your other contracts or part time jobs for other company(s).
This is a salaried, exempt, part-time, year-round position. There is a lot of flexibility with how you put together your work schedule and may be performed mostly remote, especially at certain months of the year. However, the role requires in-office presence for meetings and peak periods, particularly during months leading up to events.
Duties
- Own and maintain company website, including design oversight and year-round updates
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy across email, social media, and website platforms
- Build, schedule, and manage a marketing calendar covering mass emails, web updates, and social media (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube)
- Create and update race registration pages and related participant-facing web content
- Lead the creation, segmentation, and deployment of mass email campaigns and targeted email audiences
- Responsible for all company customer service
- Provide prompt, professional responses to all customer service channels, including email, voicemail, and social media messages
- Collaborate with graphic designers and board members to plan, create, and publish marketing and promotional content
- Create and manage paid and organic social media and SEO advertising campaigns
- Manage sponsor and partner communications, ensuring fulfillment of marketing deliverables and exposure commitments
- Oversee the event bib number assignment system
- Manage merchandise order fulfillment and coordination
Skills
- Willingness to collaborate with small team and multi-task between customer service and marketing responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to craft engaging content and customer service replies tailored for different audiences.
- Experience with SEO, social media marketing, performance marketing, digital marketing, and multichannel marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in Adobe/Canva or other design software, WordPress, Meta, and marketing automation platforms.
- Experience with content marketing, copywriting, research methodologies, and product management.
- Knowledge of e-commerce platforms recommended.
- Ability to analyze data effectively to optimize campaigns; familiarity with analytics tools.
- Experience with advertising sales campaigns across various channels is required recommended.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in budgeting and project management to ensure timely delivery of initiatives. This role requires a proactive individual who is innovative, analytical, and collaborative; ready to elevate our brand through strategic marketing efforts that deliver measurable results.
