Position Overview
MJA is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Creative Marketing Specialist to join our business development and marketing team on a part-time basis. This role supports the firm’s growth and visibility by developing marketing materials, managing digital platforms, and ensuring a consistent, professional brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development and working closely with the Proposal Coordinator, you will:
- Design, update, and maintain marketing and communication materials (project sheets, proposal layouts, conference materials, etc.)
- Manage and update the firm’s website, keeping content fresh, engaging, and aligned with company priorities
- Manage company social media accounts and newsletter, including content creation, scheduling, and monitoring engagement
- Assist the project management team with infographics, templates, and guidance to support project material development
- Create digital assets and visual storytelling to highlight company projects, events, and achievements
- Ensure brand consistency across print, digital, and social platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 1-2 years of professional design experience (experience with public sector or community engagement projects a plus)
- High level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, MailChimp, and Constant Contact
- Experience with Mac, and familiarity with Dropbox and other cloud-based file sharing platforms
- Experience managing WordPress or similar CMS websites
- Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms and content scheduling tools
- Creative ability to guide the development of consistent and engaging visual content including digital and video assets for web and social channels
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Schedule & Work Environment
- Part-time: 20 hours per week
- Hybrid: Work from home during business hours
Salary
$37,000 annually (part time)
